Why Parents & Students Entrust Us?

It has been my observation that hundreds of applicants are rejected each year as a result of advice given by health professions advisors that (albeit given with the absolute best of intentions) sometimes misses the mark and other times is counter to the beliefs and characteristics that they insist be present in accepted applicants.  Having served as both an undergraduate health professions advisor and on a dental school admissions committee I believe the reason for the discord is two-fold:

First health professions advisors are trained to give general advice that applies to the majority of pre-health profession students (typically pre-medical students), and oftentimes good advice for a medical school applicant is detrimental to a dental school applicant.

Secondly, the state of dental school admissions is continually evolving and it is a full time job to stay current on just one field; thus health profession advisors trying to stay current on the application trends in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, chiropractic medicine, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physician assistant, audiology, and public health often fall short.

I have taken my years of experience and created Dental Admission Strategies® to fill this gap in knowledge. Nobody intimately knows what specific criteria dental school admissions committees use to decide who will be accepted and who will be rejected, better than me. Having over a decade of experience in dental school admissions and professional writing experience, I enjoy working with passionate pre-dental students; particularly re-applicants, non-traditional students, and former pre-medical students. Very rarely is there a situation encountered by a pre-dental student that I have not successfully advised on before – and in those rare instances I utilize a professional network of dental students, dentists, and dental faculty members to successfully resolve issues to assist applicants in gaining admission to dental school.

While there are great financial and personal rewards for becoming a successful dentist, applying to dental school is a large investment in one’s future – and it only becomes more costly if one has to reapply because they did not have an expert in the dental admissions process as a resource.

Dental Admission Strategies® is the only advising and editing company that focuses exclusively on dental admissions.  If you want to get your dental school application immediately rejected, then the surefire way is to employ a medical advising and editing company that will make your dental school application sound like a medical school application. Each year we encounter many clients that are rejected because they employed advice designed primarily for applicants of medical school – do not make the same mistake! After all, what does a general admissions or medical editing company know about orthographic projections, malocclusion, and how to answer to that dreaded AADSAS® question, “describe what activities you do that require manual dexterity” without sounding cliché?

Although many other admission consulting and professional editing services are available, none can offer the dental admissions experience and standards of excellence in the field of dental admissions that I do.  For these reasons, I am confident that you will be 100% satisfied with your investment, as I am proud to share that many of our new clients are younger siblings of former clients and that is the best vote of confidence that we can ask for.

Most Sincerely,
Alex

Testimonials

Hi Alex,
From one committed parent to another, thank you from the bottom of my heart. As you know, Matthew has earned his acceptance to Loma Linda with your help. It’s been a long road to get here but with your guidance we never lost faith, despite all the bumps in the road. God bless you, for the work you do.

Dear Alex,
I just got my acceptance letter from SIU. Thank you for working tirelessly with me, thank you for keeping my motivated, thank you for allowing me to get into dental school, and perhaps most importantly thank you for allowing me to now be able to move out of my parent’s basement. I know that the strategies you shared with me got me into dental school this year – while not all of them were quick fixes, they all worked like a charm.  While your services are not cheap – I cannot put a price on being able to get my confidence back and get on with my life. Again – THANK YOU!

Alex,
I was just granted my fifth interview to dental school while my gunner acquaintance who’s GPA and DAT scores trump mine, is still looking for his first.  What you do is no joke – you are the best kept secret to get into dental school. I’ll be in touch next week as I want to setup a mock interview to ensure I keep my competitive advantage.

Alex,
I applied to dental school through two admissions cycles and racked up thousands of dollars for AADAS Fees, secondary fees, DAT score reports, plane tickets and hotel accommodations for interviews and yet did not get one single acceptance to dental school L While I was hesitant to spend a single dollar more on trying to get into dental school after so many disappointments, I thank God that I did with your service. My only regret is that I didn’t employ your expertise before my first application so that I could have saved all that money! Anyways, thanks for your help J

Hey Alex,
Just wanted to let you know that it has happened… and by “it” I don’t mean I was accepted to a dental school – by “it” I mean that I was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania with an academic scholarship! It’s clear that you really know your stuff – rest assured my little brother will be contacting you about his dental school application in a couple of years. My parents are thrilled for my success – but in reality I know that I could not have done it without you!  … your service is a gem of a find.

Hi Alex!
WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO… Today is December 1 and I wanted you to know that I got my acceptance letter to CWRU today. You are a Godsend.

Alex,
I just wanted to let you know that I just got back from my interview at UIC and I think I nailed it out of the park. They kept on asking saying – wow, you really have thought through your decision to become a dentist. During the interview I couldn’t help but crack a smile when Dr. […] asked me about my several Ws because we had rehearsed it to perfection. Dec. 1 is still a while away, but I can rest easy between now and then because I know that that with all your help I did better than my personal best.

Hi Alex,
What a difference a year has made, with your help. Last year I spent thousands of dollars by applying to 18 dental schools and got rejected from every single one.  This year, you worked with me and after applying to just 6 schools– I’m now a buckeye!

Alex,
You need to stop calling it a mock interview and instead call it a virtual reality interview. I have never been good at interviews, but you would have thought today that I was Barack Obama in the flesh! My interviewer ended our conversation by saying he, “looks forward to seeing me in the fall!” Yes, we can!!!

Alex,
Today, I got accepted into Baylor’s Post-Bac. program, which guarantees my admission into their dental school next year upon my successful completion. I am absolutely thrilled and could never have done it without your help. You are a dental admissions genius! Here’s to second chances!

Hello again Alex,
A heartfelt thanks for leaving the dark side, by formerly rejecting applicants like myself, and joining the force by allowing passionate pre-dental students the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. I’ll be thinking of the difference you have made in my life not only on my first day at dental school, but also on graduation day, and the day I open my first practice.  You are a beacon of hope for nontraditional applicants like me. Thank you, thank you, thank you…

Alex,
Just got done with my interview and am sending this from my iPhone. I couldn’t wait to tell you… you rock! I made my interviewers jaw drop after discussing all that I learned from MiniDentSchool.  Just thought I’d fill you in, as I feel you’ve vested yourself as much into my admission as I have. Talk to you soon!

Alex,
Today I had my orientation for my first year at dental school and with your guidance, support, and brain I have officially become a “D1”.  I read your testimonials before I began working with you on my application, and I thought that I would contribute to your wall:

Before choosing to work with Dental Admission Strategies, I researched every admissions expert and quickly came to the realization that nobody has the credentials in the field of dental admissions that Alex does.  There are plenty of MDs out there that claim that medical and dental school admissions are comparable, but I have come to know firsthand that they are anything but. As a matter of fact, by working with Alex I learned that had I chosen to use techniques that are applicable to medical school admissions – I would have been classified as someone that doesn’t know the difference between medicine and dentistry – and given a rejection.

What Alex does best is find out what drives a pre-dental student and single out what makes that applicant unique compared to the thousands of other applicants. You cannot put a price on being able to have insider’s knowledge of the dental admissions process. Not even my own ivy-league undergraduate advisor has the breadth of knowledge that Alex does.  I can honestly say that by being accepted to dental school and becoming a dentist, I am forever indebted to Dental Admission Strategies.
